The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2025 was an inspiring showcase of cutting-edge innovation, breathtaking design, and forward-thinking trends. From fresh color palettes to electrification advancements and appliance integration, this year’s show set the tone for the future of luxury kitchens and baths. Here’s a look at some of the standout trends and product innovations from the event.

Color, Texture, and Hardware

I had the opportunity to tour the KitchenAid booth with brand ambassador and designer Noz Nozawa, where we explored the brand’s new design expressions. KitchenAid’s message was clear: the kitchen is a canvas for creativity, seamlessly merging design and functionality.

The brand unveiled two new colors:

  • Juniper: A complex, dark green with hints of blue and metallic flake.
  • Black Ore: A deep, metallic black with subtle graphite undertones.

The display featured interchangeable handles and knobs in bronze, brass, and stainless steel, allowing for customized, curated aesthetics. Nozawa’s favorite pairing? Black Ore with brass handles—an elegant combination that embodies timeless sophistication.

True Residential infused color and luxury into their appliances, proving that refrigeration can be both high-performing and visually stunning. Their 2025 Color of the Year, Olive, was unveiled—a deep, earthy green that seamlessly complements both modern and classic kitchen designs.

One standout piece was True Residential’s green wine cooler, which was beautifully integrated into a kitchen of the same color with wood cabinetry and textured accents. Unique wood-crafted appliance handles and rattan overhead elements further emphasize the natural, luxurious aesthetic. True’s message was clear: stainless steel isn’t the only option for high-performance appliances.

Bertazzoni celebrated its rich heritage with a stunning showcase of appliance finishes inspired by Italian sports cars and artisan craftsmanship. Their Automotive Paint Line introduced bold colors like Nero, Bianco, Giallo, Arancio, and Rosso, each representing elements of the Emilia-Romagna region.

For those seeking a more understated look, Bertazzoni introduced:

  • Textured paint finishes for a refined matte effect.
  • Carbonio finish, offering an ultra-premium aesthetic.
  • Heritage appliance series in Avorio White, inspired by 1930s wood-burning stoves.

JennAir continues to push boundaries with Cuts by JennAir, a collection of small-batch, handcrafted panels that elevate integrated refrigerators and freezers. This year, the brand unveiled The Elements Collection in collaboration with Nature Squared, featuring inlaid fragments of reclaimed egg and mussel shells. These intricate, handmade designs embody a commitment to sustainability and luxury.

Appliances Everywhere: Luxury in Every Room

Monogram expanded luxury appliance integration beyond the kitchen, redefining how high-end appliances can enhance every living space. Their Monogram Beyond exhibit featured:

  • An Open Kitchen: Earthy greens, luxe marbles, and a skylight enhanced the space, complemented by the Monogram 30” Hearth Oven and 48” Dual-Fuel Professional Range.
  • A Luxury Bathroom: Featuring a Monogram 24” Double-Drawer Refrigerator to store skincare and refreshments, framed by fluid shapes and custom artwork.
  • A Library-Inspired Wine Room: A fully upholstered space showcasing Monogram’s 24” Wine Column and Undercounter Beverage Center.

Monogram’s approach redefined luxury living, proving that appliances can elevate every room in the home.

Subtle Branding for a Cohesive Look

Both KitchenAid and Signature Kitchen Suite embraced a subtle branding approach, reflecting the industry’s shift toward quiet luxury. With consumers favoring minimalism, these brands de-emphasized their logos, allowing for seamless appliance mixing and matching within kitchens.

Electrification: Indoors and Outdoors

Induction technology stole the spotlight at KBIS 2025, with brands embracing high-performance, energy-efficient solutions:

  • JennAir unveiled an induction cooktop with a built-in downdraft vent, perfect for islands and open-concept kitchens.
  • A matte-finish cooktop that’s 80% less reflective and highly durable.
  • Six oversized cooking zones, including the most powerful bridge function on the market (7,400 watts).
  • Two True Convection Ovens and an intuitive 7” touchscreen.
  • Patent-pending Power Indicator Light Bar, providing dynamic visual heat cues.

Electrification extended outdoors as well. Landscape Architect, Robert Bell and Jessica Petrino Ball presented a documentary at the VFTI Conference on The New Electric Outdoor Kitchen, showcasing new electric cooking appliances:

  • SMEG’s first built-in electric outdoor grill series.
  • Fire Magic’s outdoor-rated induction cooktop.

The film also included insights from Interior Designer Phillip Thomas, Principal of Phillip Thomas Design; Restauranter and Food Network Chef, Saba Wahid Duffy; Chef, Educator, and Electrification Advocate Andrew Forlines; Dr. Jake Deutsch, Physician and Content Creator; Mike Williams, VP of Sales for Kenyon; Editor and Appliance Expert, Shannon Ratcliffe; and Electrification Expert, Karina Gaft-Azcue.

Wellness at Home

Wellness-driven appliances were another major theme at KBIS 2025:

  • SMEG introduced over 50 new SKUs, including their first-ever 24” front-loading washer and electric dryer.
  • Blast Chillers gained attention for their ability to flash freeze food without freezer burn, safely thaw frozen food, and extend ingredient freshness—ideal for meal prep and cost savings.

Final Thoughts

KBIS 2025 showcased an exciting convergence of design, technology, and sustainability. Whether it was KitchenAid’s bold new color expressions or Monogram’s vision of luxury beyond.
