Susana Stolear Cultivates an Exhilarating Oasis with The Kitchen Design Collective™
AjMadison collaborated with Miami-based designer, Susana Stolear, to create a fresh, relaxed environment where her client could enjoy the winter months with her family. Check out the luxury appliances used to make it happen!

That’s why we created The Kitchen Design Collective™ – an initiative with Luxe Interiors + Design aimed at celebrating and promoting excellence in kitchen design. Our collaboration is meant to spotlight local talent that have worked together with AjMadison to bring their expertly crafted kitchen designs to life.
Through a collaboration between our Brooklyn and Miami showrooms, we had the privilege of working with Susana Stolear. Since 2013, Susana and her award-winning design team at Stol Design Group have worked in close collaboration with their clients to create the perfect combination of form, function, and flair that reflects their tastes and personalities. Working hand-in-hand with AjMadison, she transformed a Miami apartment into a modern retreat for a family that loves their luminous Miami lifestyle.
Innovative Allure
After a full-gut renovation that knocked down several walls, Susana utilized full height windows to offer endless ocean views and dazzling light, creating an inviting kitchen/dining/living area for entertaining. Capitalizing on the energizing effects of natural light, Susana added handleless white cabinetry with a “gola” or channel.
“Regular dishwashers didn’t provide enough space, so Mark, our AjMadison rep, suggested we use an ADA panel-ready dishwasher from Bertazzoni,” says Stolear. “The result was pure perfection.”
For this project, Susana needed state-of-the-art appliances that elevate the everyday. That’s why the brand most prominently featured was Monogram. Matching the low-profile aesthetic of the dishwasher, Susana included a panel-ready refrigerator and freezer column set which seamlessly integrated amongst the clean white cabinetry. A steam oven, wall oven, and warming drawer are stacked along the edge of the kitchen, creating the appearance of a solid, unified cooking hub. At the center of the layout sits a kitchen island cooking station with a bar counter. An induction cooktop lets the client cook in a comfortably cool, safe way and serve her guests from pan to plate instantly.
“My client is an avid cook who loves her kitchen,” Susana states. “She made cookies the day she moved in…Not only does Monogram offer the most elegant designs for the modern kitchen, but their quality and engineering are top notch. The panel-ready refrigerator and freezer we decided on was exactly what we wanted and, I must confess, my clients fell in love with Monogram’s color options for their induction cooktops—they settled on a gorgeous soft taupe.”
