Anna Gibson Breathes New Life into a Virginia Home with The Kitchen Design Collective™
AjMadison collaborated with DC-based designer, Anna Gibson, to create a kitchen that epitomizes the perfect blend of style, functionality, and of course, a passion for wine. Check out the luxury appliances used to make it happen!
As your appliance authority, AjMadison not only wants to offer consumers the best appliances for their kitchen renovation projects, but also streamline the purchase and acquisition process for the diverse pool of trade professionals we work with! That’s why we created The Kitchen Design Collective™ – an initiative aimed at celebrating and promoting excellence in kitchen design. Our collaborations are meant to spotlight local talent that have worked together with AjMadison to bring their expertly crafted kitchen designs to life.
Through our DC showroom, we had the privilege of working with Anna Gibson. Since 2005, Anna and her team at AKG Design Studio have specialized in large-scale renovations and luxury remodels, with a focus on exquisite yet sensible spaces that reflect the interests and lifestyles of their accomplished clients. Working hand-in-hand with AjMadison, she lent her professional flair to a home in the heart of Fairlington, Virginia, embarking on a mission to create a space that was both captivating and timeless.
Partnering for Kitchen Perfection
For this project, Anna employed several key design choices to create a timeless aesthetic. The two-tone design features both elegant white hues which bounce natural light around the kitchen and a deep blue shade which has a natural calming effect as guests enjoy their wine. Metallic fixtures, handles, and other hardware in gold, brass, and copper finishes are interspersed throughout the space for a subtle, luxurious feel. Café appliances from the Customizable Professional Collection capitalize on both, matching the white color of the cabinetry while sporting custom brushed copper handles. Even the SMEG small appliances chosen reflect the timelessness of the space with their champagne-style finishes and retro chic. Just outside of the main kitchen area, a cozy, window-adjacent bench sits beside the Summit full-size wine cooler, allowing you to enjoy a glass of your favorite vintage in the rays of the late afternoon.
